Just some thoughts....

Say x = 0.99999999999999.......

Thus, 10x = 9.9999999999999.....

If we deduct 9 from 10x, [ 10x - 9 = 0.9999999......]

which is equal to x

In short, 10x - 9 = x

AND [ x = 1 ]

but if you refer to the first premise, x is equal to 0.99999.....

Conclusion:

0.999999....... equals 1 (not approximate)

Amazing stuff huh?.....

I guess my brain is going crazy before midterms tomorrow.

aha..thx, midterm was fine! oh btw, i think it's true..0.9999999... with an infinite 9s is exactly equal to 1..LOL
